What is the Ohio Six College Tour?

The Ohio Six Tour is an opportunity for high school students and their families to visit up to six Ohio institutions of higher education in three days. The Ohio Six include College of WoosterDenison UniversityKenyon CollegeOberlin CollegeOhio Wesleyan University and Wittenberg University. We look forward to seeing you this summer on the Ohio Six Tour! If the dates do not work for you and your family, please note that we also welcome an individual visit from you anytime throughout the year!

The Ohio Six Tour will be July 27 – 29, 2022. Each participating school will conduct two sessions per day, 9 a.m. & 2 p.m. Unique programming will await you on each campus, but all will include a campus tour and an informational session.

Is there a cost to attend the Ohio Six Tour?

There is no cost to attend the Ohio Six Tour. Families are responsible for personal costs including transportation and accommodations.

Is transportation between schools provided?

Families are responsible for their own transportation to each one of the Ohio Six they visit.

Where should I stay?

We recommend that you plan your accommodations around your individual scheduling preferences. Lodging recommendations are available in your registration confirmation, individual school websites, and the Ohio Six website.

What will I do at each Ohio school?

Each college/university implements its own unique programs. Expect an information session and campus tour at each school; however, the format will be different at each school you visit. No matter what, you will leave each school with a sense of the college/university’s personality, facts about the school, and campus layout.

How many guests can I bring on the Ohio Six Tour?

The Ohio Six Tour is catered to high school students, mostly rising juniors and seniors. Parents, guardians, and other family members are also welcome! There are no limitations on the number of guests that can accompany the visiting student. Since each family is responsible for their own schedule, transportation, accommodations, and food, most parents and guardians choose to accompany their student(s) on the Ohio Six Tour.

Do I have to visit all six schools?

During the three days of the Ohio Six programming, you are not required to visit all six  schools. We recommend that you decide which of the six schools you want to visit and plan your route from there.  If your schedule mandates, you can create a customized schedule based on your travel allowances and schools of interest by adding visit(s) on July 26 or 30. Please feel free to contact the individual schools for further scheduling assistance.

What if I want to meet with a coach or an individual admission counselor meeting during my visit?

During the Ohio Six Tour, some schools offer individual meetings with coaches or counselors, while others do not. Please keep in mind that all additional requests are subject to availability; each school will handle additional requests differently. We recommend that you contact each school directly if you are requesting additional appointments. The contact information is available in your registration confirmation.

Who is responsible for the Ohio Six Tour?

There is no outside organization behind the Ohio Six Tour. The six schools that are involved collaborate together to create the opportunity for prospective families to visit up to six phenomenal, private, liberal arts, residential Ohio schools. This is a great opportunity to explore wonderful options for higher education, especially during the beginning of the college search process.
